As the title says it which one should be better? Considering it would be my daily use but also considering it dying(like its rare already) i have an vga cable also a monitor with dvi-d(single link) and a vga while my videocard has vga, hdmi and display port.

Solution
HDMI to DVI would be my recommendation. Nothing with VGA, since it is an analog signal.
The only issue you could have with HDMI to DVI is if you have to have an HDCP (copy protected) display path, because DVI doesn't meet that requirement. Some high def media may only play in 480p.
If you want HDCP, you need a new monitor.
