VGA to HDMI adapter to GPU can't work.

I tried using VGA to HDMI adapter with an audio output,but it didn't work the monitor showed "No Vga Signal". Can anyone help me with this? I was trying to connect VGA to HDMI to my graphic card gtx 1050 ti.

Can you provide link to adapter you used? What monitor you use? If the GPU is new addition to to your system, what card you used previously? What motherboard you have?
