VGA to hdmi adapter

I have a new monitor http:// which only has hdmi and vga and a mono that only has vga and dvi. I was told that VGA only outputs up to 720p. Do I need to use a vga to hdmi adapter?

Use DVI to hdmi adapter. It will be cheaper VGA to HDMI active adapter.
