[SOLVED] VGA to USB-C

Hi there - I'm not particularly techie, so please bear with me.

I have a corporate laptop, which is has a fairly locked down security policy. The only display output is VGA. I would like to use it with a dual screen, using a new-ish portable monitor that I have; but the monitor only has USB-C input. I don't need audio, just video.

Is there any way to convert across these 2? The portable monitor doesn't have a power source and I'm guessing that it needs to draw power from USB source?

Does anyone have any suggestions on how this can be achieved, or am I way off the mark here?

Thanks in advance :)

VGA is an analog video ONLY signal. USB-C is a digital data and power. You would have to have something equivalent to a small PC to take the analog video from VGA in and CREATE video over USB-C. I don't think you will find anything at a reasonable price.
