Hi all,

The resolution on my old Windows 98 SE computer is awful after putting in a new hard drive and re-installing Windows. It won't go above something like 600x600 and will only do 2-bit or 16-bit colours.

It's a 'Tiny' branded PC and the motherboard is the MS-6183.

Does anyone have the VGA/Video driver for this?

Thank you :)

Thanks Thent. 😀 I already had the one for the chip set, but I'd been looking for the other one all day and hadn't had any luck.

I've installed both, and it looks a lot better than it did. 24-bit colours are now available, and the resolution can go up to 600x800. I'm sure it should go higher than that, but at least it's an improvement.

I'll keep playing with it and see if I can make it any better.

The adventure continues...

My monitor's resolution is 1366 x 768 pixels. I wonder if it could be that I need a better driver for the monitor. At the moment I'm using the driver from the Windows 98 disc.
