VH236H - no audio

So I hooked up my Asus VH236H monitor to my computer via DVI and VGA but no sound is coming out of the monitor. I installed the sound driver on my motherboard, my volume is all the way up, the volume on my monitor is all the way up as well. Any suggestions?

DVI and VGA do not carry audio signals, only video.

HDMI carries both signals.

The VH236H comes with an audio cable and it has an audio input jack so connect the sound card and the monitor using that cable.

Oh geez. I read something about the DVI being able to carry sound. And i even checked newegg conents information and didn't see an audio cable. Checked again. and saw it. Haha thanks.
