Video and photo editing upgrade

Hi, I would like to get into video and photo editing, so I decided to upgrade my PC.I am currently running on Windows 7 Ultimate. Here is my current Rig:

Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G620 @2.60GHZ Memory(Ram): 8.00 GB Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 Gaming Graphics: 4095 MB total available graphics memory Primary hard disk; HDD (106GB Total)

What should I consider upgrading ? Thanks a lot !

well in multi threading applications such as some video and photo editing software a better CPU maybe an i3 or i5 then your GPU (in my opinion a GTX 7 series or higher) optional 12GB memory or more.

Thanks, I also had in mind to upgrade to an i5 and add a little something more to the RAM(12 or 16GB). I'll check out some options for upgrading the GPU as well.
