As the title would give away my computer's been having quite a few problems within the past 6 or so months. It will shut down with lights and fans still running. This generates no crash dump or error files, and by all means the computer treats it like it never happened. It only happens when playing video games, but not all of them.
Games I've found it's does it with include
Mad Max- Within 40 seconds to a minute.
Fallout 4- about 30 minutes in
Overwatch- Random, anywhere from 5 hours to 5 minutes
and GTA V- Same as Overwatch, but it has reached up to 18 hours loaded up (Left and forgot I had it on)
In attempts to resolve the issue I have
-replaced the CMOS Battery
-Tested each ram stick individually and together
-Unconnected and reconnected every thing
-Ran heat tests on the GPU
-Stayed at around 60-75 Degrees Celsius
-Tried different HDD's
-Changed out monitors, still happened
-Lowered resolutions
-Lowered Graphics Qualities
-and eyeballed the connections to find out if they were all connected right
-Did a full-on system restore
-Installed and Un-Installed Drivers manually AND automatically
-Unconnected various USB Devices
-The list goes on
Nothing has yielded any results, and I am at the end of my rope here. I've come to a personal conclusion it may be the motherboard, but I have little desire to drop money on a new motherboard if that is not the problem. I really need more professional help here.
