Video/Audio player crashes after a few seconds

No matter which filetype I play (avi, mkv, mp4), after 5 seconds the player crashes, giving me the error '[Video Player] has stopped working'. Doesn't matter if it's standard Windows Media, VLC Player or MPC-HC.

YouTube works just fine.

Now for the best part - I've tried installing K-Lite Codec Pack... And the installation crashes after 5 seconds too!

I've installed ffdshow codec, it didn't fix the problem.

What is going on??

Check for any updated drivers for your board including audio drivers. Reinstall in case the current ones are corrupted.
