My ASRock H61M U3S3 front audio quits working when I plugin my Gigabyte GT520 video Card. When I remove the video card it starts working again. Even with headphones plugged in the front jack it does not show up in the sound control panel until the video card is removed. What could be the problem? Might I have a bad motherboard? This video card works fine without issue in another pc.

Post your build.

Have you also got integrated graphics?

Have you just added the gt520?

Maybe you need to change bios to go from integrated to pcie graphics.
Maybe your power supply is under powered or crappy.

And a gt520 is only barely a graphics card anyway. Your integrated graphics should be just as good.

its most likely a problem with Nvidia High Definition Audio. Disable it in device manager and your mic and headphones should be worked. This is due to a Nvidia Audio driver problem with use of a HDMI
