Hi. Im thinking of getting this card.

EVGA 02G-P4-2763-KR GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support w/ EVGA ACX Cooler Video Card

My computer spec:

motherboard
asus p8h61- mle csm

power supply
ultra lsp550 550w atx

ram
corsair xms3 4gb

cpu
intel core i3 3220

Im just wondering if this will be compatible with my whole set up.

Thanks.

Solution
evga 760 requires 1x6pin and 1x8pin pcie power cables. your psu (if it is this one)LSP (Lifetime Series Pro) 550-Watt has only 2x6pin pcie power cables.(running adapters should be out of the question really) and barely meets the 30A on the 12v rail recommendation. actually that number hardly makes it a 550w unit. more lika a 400-450w one. therefore i suggest a psu upgrade for running that psu. quality 550w units would have over 40A on the 12v rail providing the necessary 1x6pin and 1x8pin pcie power cables!
The graphics card has a system requirement of "500 watt or greater power supply with a minimum of 30 amps on the +12 volt rail". Your power supply is just adequate. The processor is also just adequate. The GTX 760 is the maximum graphics card for that system.

What do you think of this for the power supply? If its not compatible can you suggest one from newegg? Price range up to $60-$80.

CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

or

XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

I will be upgrading my CPU in the future. So my mobo/ram/cpu is ok for now?.

XFX Core Edition PRO650W (P1-650S-NLB9) 650W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Is this one ok?.

Im a total noob at this. Im confused with this part "necessary 1x6pin and 1x8pin pcie power cables! "

This PS has 2 x 6-Pin, 2 x 6+2-Pin. No 8 pin pcie cable.

oh ok.

How do I determine if both video card and psu will fit in my case?. This is what I have.

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black SECC / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case.

Also, My motherboard only have pcie 2.0 x 16 slot but the video card needs a pcie 3.0. There shouldnt be a problem using that slot right?.

you need at least 10'' of length space to fit the 9.5'' EVGA gtx760 so it wont be a problem with your tower. as for the xfx psu are standard atx so it will also easily fit. even your pciex16 slot isnt 3.0 version it can still provide more than enough bandwidth for your gpu to run at max potential.!

As chris987 said the power supply is standard ATX sized so it will fit in your ATX mid tower case.
To determine if the graphics card will fit, measure from the inside surface of the removable slot cover (of the PCI express x16 slot) towards the front of the case along the line of the PCI express x16 slot.
When you come to the first obstruction for a card that is the maximum length of a supported graphics card. Compare that maximum length with you card length. If it is smaller then it will fit. But you want at least an inch or so for air flow. According to the manufacturer it has a maximum of 263 mm for supported graphics cards. (160mm for CPU coolers).

The next consideration is the motherboard slot itself. It must be PCI express 2.0 or later for your card to work well. It is compatible.

Ok, im having a problem with this right now. I have everything hooked up. When I turn it on only the mobo fan works. CPU fans does not. I hear about 6 short beeps then it shuts down after 20 seconds or so. Nothing on my monitor.

Any idea what is going on?. I hope I didnt break anything.
