I have a HP Z440 with 700 watt PSU the specs say 225 watt for video card.
I have been looking at GTX970s to GTX1060s and also RX480 and RX580.
I don't want to void my warranty by going over the 225 watts, but from what I have read most if not all these cards will draw more power then the 225 watts at max loads. I mostly use the computer for Cinema 4d R19 No gaming really but I can not afford a nice Quadro, or a radeon pro. I would really like to stay under $200 if possible. Thank for any help, much appreciated.

GTX1060 is a 120Watt card. You need to be looking at the TDP of the video cards, not the system requirements which is the PSU size for the whole computer.
Scroll down here, they've buried it but it's there.

You should be able to run any GPU with a single 8 pin PCIe connector. The MB slot provides 75W, and the 8 pin connector adds 150W for 225W.
