video card help (possible bad card)

Hello,

I've been having problems with my video card lately that seem to be getting worse. It started a couple of weeks ago. I was playing WoW and my frames started dropping. i went from 70 frames to less than 10 and it stayed there until the screen went black. I think the PC was still on just the black screen. Did a hard restart and quit playing. Tried the next day and same thing. I figured it was dusty so I took it out and cleaned it. it works fine surfing the net and stuff and it played WoW for a few days. The frames would drop but it wouldnt crash. Until yesterday when it went to a black screen and the computer restarted.

I am assuming it is the card. I've had it 3 and a half years. MSI Geforce GTX 560 TI. My power supply is newer. I'm not sure what to do.

I would appreciate any advice given.

What are your temps while gaming? Is the card overclocked?

higher than 90 sometimes hitting 100 and it isnt overclocked.

That could very well be your problem. Do you have a custom fan curve set up? How's the airflow in your case?

in the past the airflow has been pretty decent. the 560 wouldnt go above 65 degrees on WoW. it did spike up to ~75 on bioshock infinite last year and BF4. it is almost 4 years old.
