so iv been having this intermittent video issue which has been plaguing me for past 6 months. the issue im having is my video driver/card will crash if u will and my screen will go blank. most of the time it just says the video driver has encountered and issue and has crashed but successfully restarted its self and when that happens my video will just blank out n then come back on. but sometimes it will crash completely and my monitor will get the box saying no input found. and then i have to reboot my computer to get video again. for the first while i thought it may have been just cause my video card requires min 450W of power and i only had a budget 500W psu, but then a few weeks ago i upgraded my psu to a 700w ocz modular psu and it still does it. so i kinda thought it may be my video card so i borrowed my friends Asus 8800GT video card but it does the same thing just not as frequent. so i considered maybe it was a different piece of hardware so i ran MRI on it while using the 8800GT vid card but all tests came back as passed except one which was just for the harddrive scan cause it was scanning my usb flash drive which i forgot to unplug and so i canceled the scan on the hdd but besides that everything came back fine. im getting to the point where im about to say F-it and go build an AMD Phenom II system. but figured id stop here and see if anyone can shed some light on this. BTW iv also tried updating drivers but this has continued to happen with every driver even beta drivers from 280.26 the current driver for the 8800GT is 285.38 which is a beta driver. please help as im at wits end with this thanks.
