Video Card Not Being Recognized

So, I am having an issue with a motherboard not recognizing a video card. Well, it's actually been two separate motherboards. The first was an MSI B350M Pro Gaming motherboard, and the second, an ASRock AB350M Pro4. I am installing an eVGA GTX 1050 2GB graphics card and an AMD Athlon x4 950. On both motherboards, the computer will turn on, lights will light, fans will spin, but nothing is displayed. I have tested the 1050 in a different computer, and it works just fine. I have a 500W PSU in the new computer, which should be plenty. I have already tried swapping and messing with the RAM, reseting the CMOS, tried a completely new motherboard, and hooked only the cpu, one stick of ram, and the graphics card up outside of the case, all to no avail. Any suggestions would be extremely helpful at this point.

What you're saying is you eliminated everything as the point of failure except the CPU.

You seem to have covered everything else nicely.

The ONLY thing I can think of is:

a) not attaching monitor to the GRAPHICS CARD (using motherboard), or

b) PSU works sort of (has it been proved to work on a system that booted up?)

a) CPU doesn't have integrated graphics, so that won't help sadly

b) No, I haven't been able to test the PSU on a different system. Going to try that next and hope it isn't the CPU.

You seem to have covered everything else nicely.

I am hesitant to think it is the CPU. The MSI motherboard has a EZ Debug LED strip on it that shows where in the boot process something has gone wrong. It passes the CPU stage, but gets hung up on the VGA stage. Hoping it may be some kind of issue with the power supply so going to try that next.

Whelp, I have tried the PSU in another system, and it runs fine. Trying a last ditch effort to see if the CMOS didn't clear correctly before. Taking the battery out and letting it sit for a while. Reeeeeally hoping it isn't the CPU.

battery won't help.

All it does is maintain any changes you make to the BIOS/UEFI settings (and keep time I think).

It seems to be down to only two things:
1) DDR4 memory, or
2) CPU

battery won't help.

All it does is maintain any changes you make to the BIOS/UEFI settings (and keep time I think).

Yeah, but I doubt both of the sticks of DDR4 were DOA. My last option is a bad CPU, but that seems highly unlikely to be DOA as well. Sadly, I don't have another AM4 MOBO to test the CPU and DDR4, so it looks like things will have to wait until after Christmas.

No pins on the CPU are bent and I have also tried a different graphics card in both of the MOBO. By another MOBO I meant a verified working one just in the complete off chance that I got two faulty MOBOs. When I said "as well" I meant that it was an additional doubt. Really the only two possible things it could be are the DDR4 or the CPU. I have no way to test either currently. Will update once I get the chance to test them.

So, just to close out this thread, I believe I have figured out the issue. After purchasing a new CPU and still not getting any results, I took a closer look at the RAM. I had purchased DDR4 2133 UDIMM RAM for this build and the packaging for it confirmed that it was what I had purchased, but the actual sticker on the RAM had the part number for RDIMM RAM. I have ordered new, correct RAM and we will see what happens after I install that.

So you got registered RAM sticks. That had zero chance of working, RDIMM is server memory. Your RAM seller has screwed big time.
