Video card performance with Phenom x4 9550 2.2ghz

Hello, I have AMD Phenom 9550 2.2ghz, 8MB DDR2 800MHz, Win 7 64bit, DX 11, 1600 X 900 resolution, Radeon HD 4850, ASUS M3A78-EMH HDMI Mobo.850PSU unit. I would like to upgrade my video card to DX 11 and play BF3, what kind of video card could I get that would perform ok with my current PC. I was looking at purchasing a Radeon HD 6790.

I would get a new CPU before getting a new video card, also instead of the 6790, look at the 5800 series cards, they are faster and cost about the same.

I will be building a new pc in the comming months, this will be my g/f's facebook computer and click click click virus pc. Until then i'll probably just update the graphics card best I can. I will definatly check out the 5800 series, thanks.

That cpu is from Amds very old and slow stock.

Update: I decided to build my new pc early.

Core I7 2700K
ASUS|P8Z68-V/GEN3 Z68
16 GIG DDR3 RAM 1600mhz
SSD 128G|CRUCIAL CT128M4SSD2
HIS Radeon 6950 2gig

That should do it
