I am currently putting together this build THE BUILD

When I go to plug the PSIe cable into the graphics card there are many spots to put it
The PSIe cable coming from the power supply has multiple connections, there is 2 of these ---> a connection with 4 prongs then one with 2 prongs right near it but not connected.
On the video card there is a slot for 8 prongs and a slot for 6 prongs.

How would I plug the PSIe cable from the power supply into the video card given the above circumstances?

Thanks

Connectors
1 x 20+4pin Main Connector
1 x 8/4pin CPU
4 x 6+2pin PCI-E < Video card labeled PCIE \ GPU
5 x Peripheral
8 x SATA
2 x Floppy

Oh on that end. Okay so you have two ends of a cable. On one end you will have a connector that goes into your power supply if you have a modular one where the cables come out. On the other end, once again depending on what type of Power supply you have you will have a connector that goes to the video card.

Your video card seems to take a 6 pin AND an 8pin, so you will need TWO cables coming from the power supply to power your video card. So on these cables going from the power supply to the video card do these have a 6 pin connectin with a 2 pin sorta of hanging loose or does it only have a 6 pin with no 2 pin?

If you have the 6+2 , you plug all those into the 8pin on your video card and then with the other cable use the 6 pin without the 2 pin (leave them hanging to the side)

I hope i was clear.
