Hi, I have gigabyte geforce 750 TI 2GB that i was happy with it
a year ago i've traid to connect it with my LG TV via HDMI but unfortunately the HDMI cable was not genuine when i connect it to my VGA card i heard sound of spark and the screen gone black even the motherboard was turned off by itself i was shocked the took a look on the HDMI found that the cable head was removed from the cable itself, Since then i'm trying to test the video card but nothing but black screen

PS. The VGA card using dvi connection to my main monitor but it was not good i was have much difficult times to adjust the cable the right angle to get visual on my monitor

So is my VGA card id destroyed or try another cable and if i remount my VGA card to my motherboard is there is any dangers on my motherboards and other components?
Thanks.

personally i'd suspect that the card was dead, and given that the PC turned off when it died i'd suggest that you got lucky and the PSU protected you, whether it will do it again it unknown. Assume it is dead, and assume that plugging it in will damage your rmobo.

If the system shut off when the card shorted, it may do it again, and something like that does have a chance to damage the system. It's not a huge chance, but greater that just using a good card. If you try it, I would avoid using the HDMI connection on it now.

Well i had very strange things happened but thank god i'm lucky my motherboard got shocked from lan connection by some internet thieves the router is barley turning on crashes alot and i've changed the PSU because my HDDs started to turn off by itself and the weird is my old PSU was Chinese unknown manufacturer and upgraded to EVGA 450W and yes my main board is still alive after all those shocks, I've tried to re plugged The card and test it but lucky nothing happened but black screen

Yes i was lucky but i've triad to re plugge it again and test it nothing but black screen and this time i used DVI cable not HDMI
