video card question

so i just got a eurocom m590k emperor and id like to upgrade the video card right now i have a nvidia quadro fx2500 but i cant seem to play any games or use solid works does anyone know if this card is capable or gaming or 3d desing or im not sure if i need to update the drivers or get a better video card how do i find out if the video card is compatible i appreciate any help

For games, look up [title] minimum specs.

A quick google search turns up that most people prefer cards with around 2GB of VRAM to run solidworks - yours is a 512MB video card and seems to be an old one at that. Also seems like that's a laptop? Upgrading might be difficult.
