Hi all,
I don't know a lot about PCs in general and the more I research graphic cards the more it seems I don't even really know what I'm after. I'd love to hear some advice from any of you brilliant folks based on my needs! First, my current PC:
ACPI x64-based PC
Intel Core i7 X980 @ 3.33GHz
2x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260
3x monitors: 2x 24", 1x 22" (all Dell "Ultrasharp" DVI)
Windows 7 64bit
Now, what I'm looking for:
- A better graphics card (or cards) for modern games at 1920x1200... specifically, Battlefield 3 runs kinda choppy even on low settings
- I need this to work well with 3 monitors
- I need this to work well with graphic design tools, like Photoshop, Illustrator, etc... my understanding is that the video card isn't going to have much effect with these programs
- My budget is probably around $500... I'd love if I could spend less, of course, and still see big gains above the GTX 260s.
Thanks for any thoughts!
