Video card trouble

I Have an ATI Radeon 9200 LX 256MB Video Graphics Card for my Dell Dimension E310. I have the Catalyst drivers installed, but it's not working right. The video doesn't show up, but the card, and the drivers are working properly. Can Anyone offer some answers to this mystery please?

What do you mean by "the video doesn't show up"? What exactly are you trying to do?

When i start my computer up the monitor is plugged into the video card. During the start up it's monitor video is normal. but when i got to the log in screen, it goes black

Boot up in safe mode. Do you have video there? While in safe mode change the screen properties. This will depend on what monitor you have. Make sure the refresh rate is 60Hz. If this still doesn't work you should try a different driver.
