[SOLVED] Video card upgrade or new cpu first

Hello all,

Alright as the title states Im looking to upgrade. But which should I upgrade first. I run a 144hz 1080p panel as FPS matter more to me then 4K

My current setup is a

R5 1600 OC to 3.7 ghz with 240mm aio- didn’t win silicon lotto
16gb trident z 3200mhz
Gtx 1070 fe

I will eventually upgrade both items, but the question i have is what’s the better performance booster at the moment. I am looking to go with the rtx 2080 and in the near future I will upgrade the cpu to a 9700k. Thanks in advance

Definitely the CPU as it'll limit you in more cases at 1080p than the 1070.
