My friend has a Athlon XP 2600+ and a crappy old ge-force 2 mx videocard. So i talked him into upgrading his video-card so that he could at least run some games decently.

He said into couldnt cost more than $100 (Australian) but i talked him up a little bit and he got a Ge-Force FX 5200 Ultra.

So we go and get it today, and i can't install the drivers for it, I un-installed the old drivers through control panel, turned off the computer put the new videocard in, installed the newest 56.72 forceware drivers and they appeared to install fine, it said i need to restart the computer so i did and then when it gets back into windows it hadnt installed the drivers at all, it brings up the found new hardware wizard wanting drivers again. It just does this over and over again and never actually installs the drivers.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hmm, it may have installed the drivers fine but the OS for some odd reason doesn't know what card it is. You could try selecting the card from a list instead of automatically finding drivers.
