Yes, I have built a new system with an MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC motherboard, AMD Ryzen 7 2700x and 16GB of Crucial Ballistix Sport Lt 3000 MHz DDR4 DRAM. I used my old MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6G Golden video card. I was thinking of upgrading the video card to the next gen card up from the 980 either AMD or GeForce. What recommendations would you have that aren't going to run $$$$$ but give better performance when I upgrade my 2 older Dell displays? I'm 73 but do game quite a bit (used to design some back in the day and was a systems analyst). So other than gaming I do quite a bit of 3d modeling for my hot rod upgrades and designs for my 3d printer.

Thanks in advance.

For the budget I'd hold off and keep your 980 ti as for around $250 it would get you a 1660 Super which is more of a sidegrade then upgrade. If anything I'd probably use your GPU budget for a nice 27" 1440P/IPS monitor. While you may need to lower some settings for gaming it would be much better for your 3D modeling due to the higher resolution/screen real estate.

Maybe something like this.

PCPartPicker Part List
Monitor: Acer V277U 27.0" 2560x1440 75 Hz Monitor ($254.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $254.98
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Thanks but I really need 2 screens to watch things on the 3d printer while I'm doing other things on the computer.
