i was wondering if i can up grade the video card on my laptop to make it better for gaming.

Sorry, you won't be able to that. Video cards on a common laptop ususally can't be upgraded, unless it is a expensive one.
But on a Dell Ispiron, you can't.

ok, thank you anyways. but i also have an older desktop that i would like to know if it can be boosted for gaming performance. before i post the specs on it, is it more likely i could upgrade a desktop?
