Hello,
I have a new HIS HD 5770 IceQ video card. When I plug in the 6 pin power supply the fan slows down and the GPU over heats if I unplug the 6
pin the fan powers up fine but I get no video feed. I have a 600w psu but I have 3 HDD, 2 DVD/CD. Do I need a bigger PSU?

Hello Scot F;
A 600watt PSU would usually be plenty of power for a whole system with a HD 5770 video card. Even with a few extra HDDs and an extra DVD or Blu-Ray burner.
What make and model of PSU do you actually have in your system?
Also listing the other components in your system is probably a good idea as well.

Is the video card overheating just when you're gaming, or does it also overheat when you have a low video card load like when you're surfing the web?
