Hello,
My GTX 1060 Strix 6GB GPU broke and i took it to the repair store. They contacted me 2 weeks later and said that my video controller ir broken.
They said that without the controller there won't be a video signal. But overall my GPU ir ok.
What should i do?
Should i try to repair it or should i say goodbye to the GPU?

Not many places I know that will even attempt a GPU repair, usually not that repairable unless something quite obvious happened to it. They could just be telling you what you already know, that the graphics card is broken.

I don't know what 'video controller' is supposed to mean other than a replacement for Graphics Card, Video Graphics Adapter, or GPU.

Broke how? When and where did you buy it (warranty?)
By the sound of it they are going to charge you a bunch of money to "fix" something on the card that may or may not exist, realize they cant fix anything, keep your money and say tough luck.

What are they even offering to charge you to fix it? Do they offer a guarantee on their labor?

Well i was playing Dark Souls 3 and suddenly my screen turned black. My GPU's fans started to ram up and it sounded really loud. I quickly turned the pc off and turned it back on. There was no display. I tried to fix the issue and find what was the cause. I ended up finding that my GTX 1060 Strix 6GB graphics card didn't work. My monitor was working and my motherboard was working as well. That is what i'm writing on now.

After a couple of days a gave the GPU to my brother to take it to a repair store. Then 2 weeks later they wrote back saying that the video signal controller is broken and that is why my GPU didn't have a display.

Did you try a different GPU? Or a different power supply?
Regardless, the shop sounds unqualified to repair the card.

Whats your warranty status?
