Video driver crashing on multiple cards.

I built this PC quite recently and have upgraded the card.
Before I upgraded I was running a GTX970 and every now and then the driver would crash and quickly recover. I thought it was just a driver issue...

I got a 980ti about a month ago and am still having the same problems, while my friend running the exact same setup is not having any problems at all.

I've even tried underclocking the card to get more stability out of it and had no luck... You guys have any ideas as to what I should do?

make sure the mb bios is up to date to rule out a bios bug. download hardware info 64 bit turn on sensor and logging see if the 12v rail is not holding.

Updated the BIOS from 1.7 to 2.2.

To monitor the 12v rail should I just disable the monitoring of everything else and have HWinfo log the whole time?
Am I just looking to see if it ever dips below 12v?

**Just ran a CPU stress test via XTU as well as Heaven at the same time for 10 minutes. This would be sufficient to test the 12v I'm assuming? During this the 12v rail ran nearly steady at exactly 12v with a dip down to 11.904.

I will see how this goes with the BIOS update, fingers crossed that was the problem....

Driver crash again.
12v was stable the whole time with no dip below 12v's at all. BIOS was apparently not the problem either 🙁

I'm going to try to not run Chrome on the second monitor all day today, sounds like some people are having issues with Chrome crashing their drivers?

Ran Firefox most of the day without any issues, just crashed again though...
Does anyone have any other ideas?

try running memtest86 from a boot disk overnight. if it not a ram issue or a power and gpu issue. the last can be a bad core or cache on a cpu.

Will do, for some reason I feel like it could be something to do with the RAM, I always have terrible luck with RAM....
