Good Afternoon.

I'm currently running Windows 10 64-bit, which was the free upgrade offered by Microsoft.

After automatic updates, my system locks up during reboot.

I have narrowed the problem down to the video driver and think that Windows is updating the driver. It is the updated driver that is causing the issue as when I roll back to a restore point prior to the update, the system starts.

Can I tell Windows not to do this update?

Hello

You can post a suggestion on their forum or report the issue, and they will release a patch for it.

Since updates are important, and Microsoft won't quit developing them, the patches that it regularly rolls out rectify most issues that the users generally complain about.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!!

Thats fine, but until the problem is corrected, is there a way to tell windows NOT to install this updated driver?
