Video Editing build - 1080p 60fps and 1440p

Hi,

I'm wanting to have a new build around when Christmas rolls around and I have the following in mind -

Ryzen 1700x
GTX 1060 (is 3GB good or do I need 6GB?)
1TB SSD + 10TB SATA (These are must have)

I am running 2 1440p monitors and will not be shooting or editing 4k videos.

Question is -

1) Does the build look good enough to do what I'm planning to do?
2) If there are cheaper options available because this is overkill, please let me know.

Thank you!

What benchmarks are you looking at? 99.99% sure the 1700x is faster, especially in a highly threaded task like video editing. If you were going with a Ryzen 5 processor, the 1600 would be a way better...

16 is great, just make sure it's running at 3200MHz because Ryzen likes its speedy RAM.

Thank you once again. upon some research I discovered the Ryzen 5 2600 has better performance overall and a smaller price tag. Is that a good substitute? I know it's got a couple of fewer cores.

If you were going with a Ryzen 5 processor, the 1600 would be a way better pick anyway because it's so much cheaper with almost no sacrifice in performance. Anyway, I'd go with the 1700x.
