thanks for the reply.

that card that you mentioned does look good. i'll probably get that instead of the card i have listed.

is a video card a big deal for editing? my understanding was that a fast cpu and ram are needed for rendering the video, but not the video card. is there a big advantage to having a faster video card in video editing?
