Video editing build R7 1800X or i7 7700K

Hi,
I am a content creator and I use Adobe Premier and Camtasia Studio heavily for 1080p video content creation. Video creation is my profession. So please help me make a choice for my fresh build from scratch.

I will use the new build heavily for the purpose of Video editing. Please advice me if I should go for X370 + R7 1800X or z270 + i7 7700k.

i7 7700k Processor + z270 MSI costs about 40k

R7 1800X + Asus Prime X370 Pro costs about 53k.

Please suggest me the best option. I have gone through R7 1800X benchmarks but the score for video editing does not seem worth the hype.

Have you looked at the R7 1700? Costs a fair bit less, should be able to overclock it to match the 1800X in performance.

I would guess that as code becomes more optimized, the higher core count of the Ryzen cpus will become more useful.

I use an Intel i7 for 3d work but if I were to build a video editor (or 3d modeling workstation) today, I would get the AMD.

Why are you looking at a x370 motherboard? That is more for overclockers and such. Save a few bucks and look at the b350 or even the lower a320. The b350 should save you around $100 which should remove most of the added cost of the AMD system.
