What do you make of this:

Gigabyte X79-UD3 Intel X79 (Socket 2011) DDR3 Motherboard
2 x TeamGroup Vulcan RED 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit
Corsair Hydro H80i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
BeQuiet Pure Power L8 730W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular Power Supply
Kingston 120GB SSDNow V300 Drive SATA 6Gb/s 3 2.5"
Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache

Okay you'll notice the CPU and GPU are missing, this is because I'm having a hard time deciding...

CPU:

Intel 4930K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge-E) Socket LGA2011 Processor (Pretty expensive and would prefer a cheaper option)

Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor

Intel Core i7-4771 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor

It's of these from my own research but if anybody has better suggestions that'd awesome.

GPU:

Primary use is for video editing, but I'll probably play the occasional games.

EVGA GeForce GTX 660 FTW ACX 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

EVGA GeForce GTX 770 Superclock ACX 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Gainward GeForce GTX 760 Phantom 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

OcUK Geforce GTX 780 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Any help on this would be great, there's far too much choice for me know whats best. Also if you have any suggestions on the other parts of the build, let me know!

Thanks,
Jason

Well, if you look at this post in my bottom right, 4930k for the win. If you plan on doing multitasking with multiple programs open and all, the HEX core will crush the Quad core i7 4770/k's.

For you, this card from your list is what you want:

EVGA GeForce GTX 770 Superclock ACX 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Opinions:

Avoid pre-built liquid cooling systems, overpriced and no different in performance from high end air coolers. If you want the best Air cooler for you, go for the one i have; Noctua NH-D14 SE2011.

Ram; Go with 1866MHz and get 4 sticks of ram, as LGA2011 runs in Quad channel, so it benefits from 4 sticks of ram compared to just 2. I have 2 and it works, But i'm going to 32GB shortly. Reason for 1866Mhz ram is that it is the best speed/CL for ultimate performance, It has the same Cas latency as 1600Mhz and an extra 266Mhz on top of that, 2133Mhz has a CL of 10, making it worse off. The higher the speed the faster the ram, the lower the CL the faster the ram, so 1866Mhz comes out on top if you look at this;

1333Mhz CL8/9

1600MHz CL9

1866MHz CL9

2133MHz CL10

2400MHz CL12

and so on. Hope this helps

I think I'll go for the 4930k.

Do you know of any better graphics cards for my needs in that price range (£270)?

Also with the PSU, is 730w sufficient enough?

Thanks for your help!

730W is easily enough, lots of headroom there.

This is the best card you can get for just over your budget from AMD; The R9 290 512-Bit 4GB GDDR5
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-512-Bit-GDDR5-Retail-Graphics/dp/B00G5T1P1I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1394025476&sr=8-1&keywords=R9+290

Now that is a titan card, and it can max out anything at 1080p easily. But since it is the stocked cooled model it does get quite hot, but it is within operating temperature. And i am an AMD fanboy and love their cards, not CPU's, hate them, as you can see from my avatar they are just in my personal opinion better. For the price of that card, it's amazing and does beat a GTX 780 in performance, It is well worth the extra for what you pay for it. It is also AMD's new Hawaii Chip, a win for them and an excellent GPU.
