Video editing laptop purchase advice

Hi everyone,

I am new to video editing and have been shopping around for a new laptop which needs to be capable of running Vegas Studio Platinum on Windows 10. I will be initially editing 1080p video, but forward expandability for 4k video editing would be nice in case I start working on it instead in the years to come.

I think I've narrowed it down to a couple choices, both of which have 512GB SSD drives and 16GB DDR4 RAM. One has a R7-4800H CPU with a GTX1650 graphics card and the other has an i5-10300H CPU with a GTX1650Ti graphics card. Both graphics cards appear to have 4GB RAM.

Does anyone have any thoughts on which choice would be better? Any info I've been able to come across online has either been conflicting, unclear, or technical enough in its breakdown that it's been over my head.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

The eight-core AMD is significantly faster than the Intel in multi-core operations while the GTX 1650 is only around 7% slower than the supposedly better TI version. The system requirements for Vegas Studio Platinum say ".....8 cores recommended for 4K " so my recommendation is the Ryzen 7 with the GTX 1650 laptop.
