Heya, I'm building a video editing (Davinci Resolve) PC and RAM it's kinda expensive. Will CAS 14 vs 15 vs 16 have any true impact in video editing?
CLSPEEDNanosecs
16320010,24
1532009,6
1432008,96

Also, will using non AMD RAM will affect my system?
Thanks!

In practice all rams are compatible on your motherboard, so long as it conforms to the specs of the slots on the board, i.e DDR4 slot, DDR4 sticks of ram. You should aim for at least 32GB of ram if you're looking at professional video editing. I'd go with tighter timings but if you're already looking at G.Skill ram kits, you can tighten the timings on your own instead of buying them tightened from the factory.

Thanks for the quick answer! Yeah, I'm going for 32GBs just looking for if it's really worth it due:
CL16 = 175€
CL14 = 275 to 300€

If CL14 saves me 1 minute in a 1 hour rendering (1,6%) or I would go for the CL16 but if it saves me 20% then it's worth it. How much percentage would it save?

Thanks!
