Is it possible to increase even a bit if possible sound/audio quality in games by increasing (rendering on a software) the bitrate of the audio? People will hear different on their ends yes but I want to make sure my gaming video audio quality is high as possible. Which codecs do you recommend? I find AAC is real trash even with higher bitrate. Should I try good old MP3 instead? Have converter software to do such things.

Thank you

The audio will never improve over the source material. FLAC is the best codec for HQ audio. It won't help you. Cassettes were cool in the 70's. Now they sound like crap.

Well let's start at the beginning: you're capturing gameplay; what audio format does the game output, format, number of channels, bitrate, etc.? What capture software is being used and what options does it offer for audio capture, format, number of channels, bitrate, etc.? Does the audio of the final file just need to be normalized or have channels combined?

Not to hijack this thread but I have a video capturing related question.
Does the size of the bit rate really matter anymore with so many people having fast internet connections these days?

If so, than what is the best bit rate that is not a bandwidth hog but still offers the best quality possible? I like to make gameplay videos and I want the capture quality to be as high as absolutely possible while still being accessible to people that don't have the fastest internet connections?
