Question Video Game Controller

Hi, i recently bought a controller..... steelseries 3GC part# 69001
it turns out the only drivers available from the company are for windows/mac...

im running a dell chromebook designation Candy or something... with dual OS Linux Xfce4 and Chrome OS
im running it in dev mode Chrome OS 79.xx...
..but i do not have play store capability or sideload apk ability

is there any way to use this controller on my sys... btw im a trained tech but also brand new to Chrome OS and not a linux pro by any means.

OK, so I couldn't get this controller to work on ubuntu with wine installed... the driver installed successfully but nothing when i plug it in... anyway.... on to my new question

What is a good and reasonable (under $20) controller to buy, that is tried/tested with chromebook??
