Future? This has been used for many years, at least in ADHD-cases.

If anyone had any brains, they'd figure out that video games would be key in communicating with those diagnosed with autism. Quick! Lets have a study on it, and not figure this out for another 10 years!

Interesting concept for sure. On a side note... A drummer is going to have the coordination to shoot asteroids while pounding out a rhythm. Your average person is not.

Something like this will not catch on, it is like those "educational" games. All of them seem to be designed by someone who probably just spent a week learning flash, and it making their first game.From what is described, the activities seem very shallow and not engaging.You simply cannot make a game that targets a specific area of the brain, as it will not hold anyones attention.A game must attempt to cause global activations while maintaining the use of higher order thinking.
