[SOLVED] Video Memory across cards

I have an HP Z800, in it I have a ATI FirePro V5700 512MB, I have a
QUADRO FX4800 1.5GB as well. Both the cards have 1 DVI and 2 DP ports.
I'm thinking of hooking up 3 monitors to the FX4800 and 1 monitor to the
V5700. This way I'm assuming I'll have about 500MB for all.
Please let me know if this assumption is valid. Thank you.

Mixing AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards is usually nothing but frustration. I would not try to run an ATI/AMD video card and an NVIDIA in the same system. The drivers conflict.
 
VRAM doesn't get broken up per display. That is, whatever is shown on one monitor doesn't get allocated a certain amount of VRAM for everything that's showing on it. However, if the application starts on one monitor, the video card the monitor is attached to will typically drive that application even if you move the application to another monitor.
