Greets,
I have an AIW 9800 Pro w/ 128MB memory. O/S is W2k Pro (sp2).
I want to capture video from VCR, edit it and output it back to the
VCR.
Capturing is working great. I'm reinstalling the editor (Ulead) next.
I checked outputting and there's where I hit a snag.
I have the VCR connected to the video out. This is partially working.
The part that works is: I can record my desktop with the mouse moving
around okay. What is not working is playing video and recording that.
It doesn't matter if it's in full-screen mode or in a window on the
display. It doesn't matter if it's played with MS Media Player or ATI
MultiMedia Center. The VCR picks up a black rectangle where the video
should be. In windowed playback, the whole desktop is recorded
including the mouse moving around. The part of the display that the
video is in is a black rectangle. In full-screen playback, the VCR
gets a black screen. I can barely make out where the black bars stop
and the video area starts in this letterbox video.
It's like the video players use a mode that isn't duplicated from the
monitor to the video out.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Or is this not possible?
Much thanks for any replies,
Larry
