Video playback very laggy

Whenever i watch videos on my pc they stutter and lag alot whether it be youtube netflix or just watching a movie on windows media player, any help is much appreciated

Asrock b150 motherboard
1tb WD Blue
650w psu

I didnt give exact details like the model or make but if you need them let me know but thats the generic specs, its about 3 weeks old the pc is only recently built
