Video Problem

An example of whats happening,I open up You Tube to watch a video,on the screen it asks me to upgrade to Flash Player 10,I already have this installed its actually FP 11 now and I just cannot watch anything.Any suggestions please!

Is this 64 bit windows 7? If so, which browser do you use? IE comes in 64 bit and 32 bit versions. The flash plugin is 32 bit only so you need to use the 32 bit version of IE or any other 32 bit browser.

I IE , the flash player installed is - 11.1.102.55 which includes 32 and 64 bit,what now?

Iv'e also just discovered that I can watch video on Google Chrome! Apparently Flash Player is automatically updated.

Have you checked IE's addons to see if flash actually got installed. Also, there may be other addons that are effecting you tube. You can try disabling some addons and see if it makes a difference.

Its definitly installed,and iv'e tried what you suggested,no joy.It can't be much cause when I scroll my mouse over the screen quickly,I see flashes of the video!

IE can be nasty with this bug, I've yet to see a fix for this outside of re-installing Windows. You can try to upgrade/downgrade the I.E. version but when I worked on this issue on my PC, nothing worked. You can use Firefox also as your default browser, it renders things better than Chrome.

I've just had windows re- installed by a tech as could not even start up,i'll try Firefox.Thanks

I downloaded Google Chrome and for some reason I can watch videos on that !
