[SOLVED] Video resolutions YT

I have a 1080p BenQ XL2411P And i still think the vids look better when watching in 4k on a 1080p monitor is it just me or is there something to it

4K videos are downscaled to 1080p, but on YouTube they use higher bitrate (less compression) so they will look a bit better than the 1080p version of the video.
