Video Server Build _ NEED ADVICE

Hello Tom's MAsters,

I'm looking to build a video server which will be used for VOD and couple broadcast channels. I'm talking about 1000 clients at once. Any ideas on what kind of horse I should build. Price wise - please don't bleed me off so around 1-1.5k.

it appears that toms hardware forum is dead...only replies to "home build / gaming machine for 1500 max"....=(
