Video signal and audio

Hello everyone! I want to use my main monitor and my TV. My gtx 1060 g1 gaming have 3 displayports, one HDMI and one DVI-D. Can i use normal cheap displayport to hdmi adapter to connect my TV, because i use HDMI port to connect my monitor. What i must to buy- displayport to hdmi or hdmi spliter? Also i can plug hdmi cable from tv in MB, but doesn't have sound. I forget to say, i want use my monitor as main screen and TV as secondary. Need i make TV as main screen?

A displayport to HDMI should work fine. A HDMI splitter would just put the same image on both screens, but the card supports at least two displays at once. Either device can be set as primary at your discretion.
