Video software with speed control please.

Hi. I have a cam corder and some of the files are very long. Is their a software that allows you to watch at x2, x4 speed etc. searched on line and was told VLC but I can't find a speed control on it anywhere.

VLC media player does indeed support variable playback speed. You can do it either from the keyboard or from the "Playback >> Speed" menu in VLC.

Hi. Thanks for that. I can change the speed through Playback >> Speed . Not easy to do as you have to repeat it lots of times. If there are any keboard shortcuts can you tell me as there is no info and the help menu just tells you the version number. Thanks.

With VLC, just press + or - keys to vary the playback speed. Can't be much simpler than that.
There are many other keyboard shortcuts - like space bar to toggle between pause and play.
