Video turns off after startup

After the server finishes booting the screen loses it video signal (not power). The server, however, is running fine. Someone has installed VNC on it. You can access the server with VNC from a networked PC. My guess is that there is a setting in Windows that powers down the video (driver, card?) after it boots, but I can't find where it is. Any ideas?

does it come up in safe mode? Could be a bad video driver...

Nothing is "broken" I just believe that a setting has been set to turn off the video after it boots.

Your power options may be set to turn off the monitor after 1 min, but moving the mouse should wake the system, unless its hotkeyed to a certain key on the keyboard, but that would be purposefully done not accidentally.
