Question VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (atikmpag.sys)

Hi I just got an old broken laptop from my dad (he doesn't know what is wrong). So I wanted to fix it, the laptop monitor doesn't work so I connected it with VGA to an old monitor. I tried Windows 10, 8.1, 7 but every time I tried to install graphics drivers or updated graphics with Windows updates my laptop immediately black screen and after reboot I get a BSOD which says VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (atikmpag.sys)
