videos turning green and purple

had this pc for 2-3 years but lately, some videos (not all) seems to have some weird filter where everything is green and purple
is there anything that I can do to fix this problem. I can't watch some of my shows due to this.

specs
cpu:g3258 @ 4.2ghz maxing at 65-70c under heavyload
gpu:r9 270x
8gb ram

that's a rendering error not a filter. You often see it when the computer only half understands the codec the video is using. You can try reinstalling whatever program you are watching the files with, same with the drivers for your GPU.

If it still persists try using VLC or CCCP to play the video both of them have the most robust codec support.

videos using html5 as a player is affected flash is fine, how can i reinstall or fix it
