Viewing distance for a 27" 1920x1080 monitor

Hey everyone,

I am currently looking to buy a new desk and monitor for my computer

Samsung P2770FH 27" 1080p monitor

and the desk i am looking at right now would mean that i would be sitting about 2.5 - 3 feet away from the monitor and i was wondering if this would be too close of a viewing distance?

Should be fine.

I sit about 24" away from my 25.5" monitors. About 34" when I am leaning back.

I have that same monitor. It sits toward the back of my desk.

I sit about 30" from it on average. It doesn't seem too close to me at all.

i sit about 26-30" away from my 20" monitor at work and about 48" away from my 40" at home.
